Can You Run a Business?

TCG Card Shop Simulator has finally arrived, developed and published by OPNeon Games and has brought the back the card game into reality. Instead of launching it fast, the developers took their time to work on it, pre-released it in 2024 work on it with feedback from players, and Its full release in 2026 instantly hooked the gamers to  the game and instead of a game that buys cards.

TCG Card Chop Simulator
places players behind the cashier. You are the boss now. The idea is pretty simple. You are a sole entrepreneur who owns a card shop.
In this shop, you buy products at a cost price and sell them at a higher price to make yourself some profit from the revenue made.

Open Your First Pack

I have always acknowledged the hype of Pokémon cards, from Logan Paul purchasing his ultra-rare, PSA 10-graded Pikachu Card that broke the world record, sold at an estimated $16 million through Goldin Auction in February 2026. I guess I never really understood its value until I started playing TCG Card Shop Simulator. When I was playing it, that was the day I fell in love with it. The game is so simple that it does not need a tutorial, and it is ok to be thrown into the game with no knowledge.

The Stinky Customers

At first, I was convinced that the game wanted me to sell cards with monster pictures on them called Tetramon. But I realised I was focused more on the customers themselves. Some customers who walked into my shop smelled so bad that a green cloud of musk followed them around, which was scaring away my beautiful customers. It felt like
a horror movie, seeing my shop,
YATO GEM MINT, become infested, not with Covid-19, but with a bunch of walking biohazards. Forget selling cards at this point; I was running a quarantine centre
for people who never showered in their lives.

CARD SCALING

The Cardinal's Grading

When a pack of cards is opened, its value can be increased or decreased by sending a set of 8 cards based on their condition. This is how it works: you will have a binder to preserve and protect your Tetramon cards. The cards have a set of collections are somehow categorized into Tetramon Base, Destiny, Ascension, and Ghost. Based on each collection, the market will be determined by the card’s market value and as  you grow your binder, you can send the cards to be graded. The longest service woould take 12 days while the premium service will take just 2 days. You can use the 12-day service to give you enough time to collect more valuable cards in the future, worth at least $10,000.

Tantrum Feeling

Your Parcel Has Arrived!

Card trauma is something that can be felt in this game. It is the fear of missing out or the regret of selling a card too early before a price skyrockets. These things can occur since you are running a card business. You can also experience a high dopamine rush by pulling an ultra-rare ghost
card that can be valued at 10 times the market price if the condition card is grade 10, a Gem Mint. On day 140, I got lucky and managed to collect a card worth $16,000. Upon receiving my parcel from the grading company, valued at $100,000,    a Bogon Ghost Basic Legendary Foil, a Gem Mint. Now, you can imagine how I felt a that moment.

Printing Dollar Bills

Allow me to show you a hack for a money-printing mechanism that I learned way too late in this game. In the beginning, I did not focus too much on the cards and shifted my attention to running the shop. But focusing on the cards is a running business aspect. It is important to invest your money in card machines that unpack your cards. While waiting for the machine to finish unpacking, you can monitor your business performance. Upon completion, you will receive the cards in bulk, showing you the cards’ cost and their value. Send them for grading, sell it, and make money.

Feedback Matters

Works vs. Doesn't

Running a business is easy but maintaining it successfully is difficult. One way of making sure you are serving your customers is to check for feedback. Just like when you dine in a 5-star restaurant and, at the end of your meal, the waiter does a final check and asks you if everything was good, that is feedback.

In TCG Card Shop Simulator, you can check for feedback either by focusing on the text above the character; they can either give you compliments by saying the prices are cheap or be frustrated by driving 5 hours to your shop and not finding what they want.

Another way is using clicking on Reviews, on your mobile phone. You must ensure your ratings are high by addressing low reviews and fixing them to keep customers happy. Whether it is priced too high or you are not getting what the customers want.

“I’ve been looking for this card everywhere!”

Supply and Demand

Supply and Demand is a topic taught in every  Economic class, but I will keep it short and sweet. You are running a Card shop business and must have cards for sale. That is easy. But are you sure you can sell them? Well, it depends on the market.
You can purchase the products below the market price, giving you room to strategically price your products. You can be greedy and price a product above or at the market price, or you can do what
I do and set the price below the market price by 10%. This will automatically attract customers since your products are the cheapest compared to other shops. Yet, you are still making profits. Pricing is the most important part of demand
and supply and by adjusting the prices based on the products you have shall determine how long you can survive in a competitive business.

Spend Money to Make Money

Your Shop Size Matters

You will start with a small square foot shop with a cash register, and yourself to run it. It will not lastlong, as you start to make money and buy products and furniture. From tables and shelves to card display. With some money stacked up and  your hands start to itch as you want to spend it. At first, you will expand the shop size by unlocking more space, then you will have so much money that you do not mind expanding by opening another shop. But you will feel tired running from the cashier to stocking up the products to filling up the machine with sprays. This is where you have to hire staff. The choice is yours on whether you want them to be cashier or stock up the shelf every time you order stocks. This will ease your focus as you will let the money you earn to run the business for you. You just have to allocate your funds efficiently to grow bigger.

Marketing Strategy

Another tip for the success of the business is to attract customers and not rely on walk-ins only. One way to do that is to utilize the tournaments, which are open to register around 32 participants. This is tricky as there is no market price. The fee is completely up to you, and you can experiment with the price. The tournament allows you to set prizes based on the winners. The more expensive the prizes are, the higher the fees you can charge per participant. This is done by purchasing prize shelf furniture. Of course, this can be used as a passive income source and to get the customers to shop around once the tournament is over. An alternative way is to purchase tables to allow customers to shop and sit to unpack their cards. The prices depend on the type of even during that day. So just follow the market price as it is for passive income only.

Customize Your Shop

Invest In Your Shop

By day 100, you would already have got the hang of it, understanding the card business industry, and know how to cater to your customers’ needs. Now, it is time to design your shop to make it less dull and boring. The game offers you a variety of decorations from the ceiling, floor, walls, to action posters. You can upgrade your shop and make it look more luxurious, giving the customers a very unforgettable shopping experience. One thing I noticed when upgrading is that the upgrade does not happen instantly. This might demotivate you since you are spending a large sum of money to beautify your shop, yet it does not happen fast. I am not sure if it is a bug or if it has been fixed by the time this review gets published. Still, it will not affect any of your progress or your customers.

You Are The Boss

TCG Card Shop Simulator will instantly hook you, turning curiosity into addiction. I never knew how being the boss is actually fun, but it comes with a lot of responsibilities. From making sure your staff work efficiently by setting primary and secondary tasks to making sure your bills are paid on time. Paying your bills is very expensive, forcing you to make business decisions to make as much profit as possible. The bigger your shop is, the higher the rent will cost you. Failing to pay on time will force you to be in debt, a scenario that must be avoided at all times. So ensure your cash flow is managed properly without having to face delays.

Monetizing Your Success

What a Launch !!!

OPNeon Games has developed a game that truly replicates a card trading game while keeping it simple, colourful, and engaging. It is not just a game to play but also to learn how to create an MVP product when launching. To reach the top,
it will not be easy. You just have to learn it step
by step and overcome any issues you might face along the way. What started as a YATO GEM MINT shop turned viral quickly. From debt to making at least $20,000 in sales daily. From being worth nothing to being valued at $500,000 in inventory, I enjoyed this game, and it is worth every penny from your wallet and every second of your time.
A game that serves as entertainment as well
as educational on how to run a shop without tax.
