Arc System Works has revealed the full Year One DLC roadmap for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, confirming four upcoming characters, a new stage, and the planned release windows for each addition. Announced during EVO France, the roadmap gives players a clearer picture of how the superhero fighting game will expand over the coming months.
The announcement follows the reveal of Phoenix Cyclops, the first DLC fighter coming to the game. Scheduled to launch on November 2, 2026, this alternate version of the classic X-Men leader combines his signature optic blasts with fire-based attacks. His Dark Phoenix abilities offer increased offensive power at the cost of his health, introducing a potentially high-risk, high-reward approach to combat.
With Phoenix Cyclops leading the way, the remaining Year One lineup promises a mix of familiar Marvel heroes and villains, along with a new arena inspired by one of the franchise's most recognizable alien threats.
The EVO France presentation introduced the second DLC character: Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor. In the reveal trailer, Loki sets the scene as someone approaches Mjölnir, Thor's legendary hammer. Rather than featuring the familiar Odinson, however, the game introduces Jane Foster as the next hero to wield its power.
Jane Foster's Thor is scheduled to arrive in Winter 2027, likely in January or February. While the announcement did not reveal gameplay footage or detailed combat abilities, her inclusion adds another recognizable Marvel hero to the roster and brings a different interpretation of the God of Thunder to the fighting game.
The remaining DLC reveals round out the first year's planned content, with two additional fighters and a new stage scheduled to arrive throughout 2027.
Following Jane Foster's Thor, Venom is scheduled to launch in Spring 2027, accompanied by a new stage inspired by Klyntar, the symbiotes' homeworld. The setting could provide a striking backdrop for battles, complementing the character's alien origins and imposing presence.
The final announced fighter is Jubilee, the X-Men hero known for her explosive energy powers. She is planned for a Summer 2027 release, completing the four-character Year One DLC lineup alongside Phoenix Cyclops, Jane Foster's Thor, and Venom.
Although the roadmap confirms the planned release windows, exact dates for the later additions have not yet been announced. Players can therefore expect the content to roll out across several seasons rather than arriving all at once.
The presentation also highlighted two creative collaborations. Artist Peach Momoko created the illustrated character designs featured at the end of the trailer, bringing her distinctive visual style to the game's expanding roster.
Meanwhile, composer Keiichi Okabe is contributing the theme song for Mighty Thor, becoming the first guest composer announced for the game. Okabe is widely recognized for his work on the NieR series and other major video game franchises, including Tekken.
Players will have multiple ways to access the announced content. Each DLC character and the Klyntar stage will be available for individual purchase or as part of the complete Year One Character Pass. Owners of the Ultimate Edition will receive the announced additions as they become available.
Interestingly, none of the four announced Year One DLC characters appeared on a previously circulated roster leak reportedly discovered through datamining. That list included names such as Daredevil, Doctor Strange, the Wasp, and Gambit, leading to speculation about which characters might eventually join the game.
The absence of those rumored fighters does not necessarily mean they will never appear. They could be planned for a later content season, or the leaked information may not accurately reflect the final roster. Datamined files can reveal clues about development, but they do not guarantee that every listed character will be released.
For now, Arc System Works has outlined a clear first year of post-launch support. With Phoenix Cyclops arriving in November 2026, followed by Jane Foster's Thor, Venom, Jubilee, and the Klyntar stage, players have several new additions to anticipate through Summer 2027.
