Pokémon Pokopia is preparing for its first Halloween event, with a limited-time celebration bringing themed items and special Pokémon to the game.
The Halloween event will run from October 17 at 5:00 a.m. until November 1 at 4:59 a.m., with the event beginning when the in-game day resets. Players who adjust their console's system settings to advance the game's clock can access the event earlier.
To begin the event, players need to speak with Pumpkaboo, which will appear in front of a newly decorated Pokémon Center. Pumpkaboo will offer a selection of Halloween-themed items in exchange for candy, the special currency used during the event.
How to collect candy
Players can earn candy by using Zorua's Camouflage ability. The ability allows Zorua to transform into a nearby object, which can then be used to attract Pokémon.
Once a Pokémon approaches the disguised Zorua, players can reveal themselves and surprise it. Successfully performing the trick rewards players with candy, which can then be exchanged for the event's Halloween-themed items.
The event also introduces a way for players to add a special Pokémon to their settlement. By placing the appropriate combination of Halloween-themed items, players can create a habitat capable of attracting Gourgeist, the evolved form of Pumpkaboo.
Gourgeist and Pumpkaboo can therefore become part of the player's town during the event, while the Halloween decorations provide additional customization options.
The event follows several other limited-time activities in Pokémon Pokopia, including the August Fetching Scales for Feebas event, which introduced water-themed furniture alongside content connected to the game's expansion pass and a free update.
With the Halloween event, players have another opportunity to collect limited-time items and add seasonal elements to their Pokémon Pokopia settlements before the event ends on November 1.
