Ubisoft has confirmed that its free to play looter shooter, The Division Resurgence, is officially leaving early access and launching on Steam on August 5. The release offers fans of the tactical franchise a fresh multiplayer experience to enjoy while waiting for official news regarding the upcoming The Division 3.
Originally released for iOS and Android on March 31, the game expands the franchise with a brand new storyline, progression systems, and tactical cover based combat. Players can explore the open world alone or team up with friends, with the game featuring its own Dark Zone that provides intense player versus player and player versus environment extraction gameplay.
The Steam release introduces seamless cross play and cross progression functionality between PC, iOS, and Android platforms. Gamers can transition between mobile devices and PC without losing progress simply by signing into an official Ubisoft Connect account.
To ensure broad accessibility, Ubisoft released the official PC system requirements, which remain low due to the title's mobile origins. Most modern gaming rigs will easily handle the game, with the primary operating requirement being Windows 11.
