Digital Extremes has announced Epoch Operation: Taubound, a limited-time community event coming to Warframe on October 15. The event will unite players worldwide in a cooperative effort to fuel a journey to Tau, a mysterious star system teased throughout the game’s story. Running until November 17, the event gives Xbox players an opportunity to contribute to the community-wide mission while earning exclusive rewards.

Since Warframe launched on Xbox One in 2014, the Xbox community has played an important role in the game’s development. Digital Extremes has continued to expand cross-platform support through cross-play and cross-save, while providing dedicated channels for Xbox players to share feedback. Now, players can take part in one of the game’s most significant narrative developments as the journey to Tau moves closer to reality.

During Epoch Operation: Taubound, new and returning players will head to Eris in the Origin System to battle Infested enemies and collect a new resource called Moonflesh. This resource will help power the Sentient Mothership, Praghasa, while also serving as currency for event rewards.

The event features a range of collectibles and cosmetic items for players to unlock as they contribute to the community effort. Rewards include brand-new Armor Sets, exclusive event Honoria, Somachords, Glyphs, Sigils, Floofs, Syandanas, Signas, Badges, Blueprints, and more. With the event available for a limited time, Xbox players will need to participate before it concludes on November 17 to make the most of its rewards.

Alongside the community event, Warframe is receiving Prologue to Tau, a short addition to its single-player cinematic quest campaign. First showcased during TennoLIVE 2026, the prologue lets players interact directly with The Lotus for the first time, setting the stage for the next major chapter in the game's narrative. Players will also be able to use the Vessel they customized during TennoCon on the surface of Eris. This new experience features a dedicated level and a large-scale boss fight against the Infested.

Unlike the limited-time community event, these additions are permanent parts of the Quest Codex. Xbox players can access them after completing The Hex and The Old Peace quests.

Epoch Operation: Taubound marks another milestone in Warframe’s long-running relationship with its community, bringing players together for a shared objective while advancing the story toward Tau. The event begins October 15 and ends November 17, while Prologue to Tau and the new Eris experience will remain available permanently for eligible players.
