Sony’s extended Black Friday event runs throughout November, giving PS5 players more time to save on major releases and upcoming fan favorites.
Sony is kicking off its Black Friday celebrations earlier than usual, with the PlayStation Store's 2026 sale bringing nearly a full month of gaming discounts. PlayStation 5 owners will have plenty of opportunities to pick up popular titles, including several games generating excitement among this year's Game of the Year contenders.
According to an official announcement on the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Store Black Friday Sale begins November 4 and runs through November 30. That's considerably longer than last year's event, giving players extra time to browse the deals and find something worth adding to their collections.
The selection will also receive an update on November 16, with some discounts ending as early as November 20. Players should keep an eye on individual game listings to avoid missing limited-time offers.
Although Sony has yet to reveal the complete list of discounted titles, the company has highlighted several games expected to receive significant price reductions.
Some of the featured games include:
- Marvel's Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition
- Mortal Shell 2
- Saros Digital Deluxe Edition
- 007 First Light Deluxe Edition
- The Blood of Dawnwalker Eclipse Edition
- Pragmata Deluxe Edition
- Silent Hill: Townfall
- Echoes of Aincrad Deluxe Edition
- Beast of Reincarnation
- The Sinking City 2
With a mix of action adventures, atmospheric horror, RPGs, and anticipated releases, the selection offers something for different gaming tastes. The extended sale period should also make it easier for players to plan their purchases instead of rushing through limited-time deals.
While the game discounts sound promising, players hoping to upgrade their hardware may have less to celebrate. Sony's latest announcement makes no mention of discounts on PS5 consoles or accessories.
Last year's Black Friday event included a new PS5 bundle alongside several hardware offers, including a $100 discount on consoles. Those deals followed a PlayStation 5 price increase just one month earlier, making the savings particularly appealing to players considering an upgrade.
This year, however, Sony appears to be focusing primarily on software discounts. Extending the sale across November could give players more opportunities to save on games, even without similar hardware promotions.
That doesn't necessarily mean PS5 console deals will disappear entirely. Other retailers may introduce their own Black Friday offers, although rising console prices could make finding an attractive deal more challenging.
For now, players can look forward to a month of game discounts, with more details expected as the PlayStation Store sale progresses.
