Bandai Namco is expanding its anime-inspired battle royale to iOS and Android, with a standalone experience designed specifically for mobile players.
My Hero Ultra Rumble is officially heading to mobile devices, bringing its free-to-play battle royale experience to iOS and Android. The announcement was revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Jump, although a release date has yet to be confirmed.
Unlike the existing PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC versions, the mobile release will operate as a separate game. This means players on smartphones will have their own version of the experience rather than sharing the same ecosystem with console and PC players.
The mobile edition will retain the same number of players per match, but battles will be shorter to better accommodate mobile gameplay. Cross-play between mobile and other platforms will also not be supported.
Early details suggest the mobile version could feel noticeably different from its console and PC counterparts. While it will maintain the core battle royale concept, its shorter matches and separate platform experience indicate a more mobile-focused approach.
More information, including the official release date and additional gameplay details, has yet to be announced.
