HoYoverse has finally confirmed a release date for Petit Planet, its upcoming cozy life-sim often compared to Animal Crossing. The game launches December 4 on PC and mobile, with pre-loading beginning December 1; console versions have not been announced.
The announcement arrived alongside a new trailer focused on planning a neighborhood picnic. It offers the clearest look yet at how much the game has expanded since its first beta nearly a year ago, particularly in customization and social activities.
The trailer shows a much broader wardrobe than the earlier test build, which leaned heavily toward soft, feminine styles. Players can now choose from sweaters, cargo pants, sweatshirts, dresses, trench coats, aviator outfits, boots, and Mary Janes, making the game feel more flexible for different personal styles.
Home and village customization also appear more detailed. The footage highlights an earthy interior with a sunflower-themed brick oven, warm-toned cookware, and playful bug-shaped pillows, while outdoor spaces can be reshaped with rivers, farms, and large crops.
Petit Planet lets players fish, farm, decorate, and build a community alongside talking space animals. The trailer ends with a neighborhood celebration featuring shared dishes, fireworks, and what appears to be a card game, reinforcing its focus on relaxing social play.
HoYoverse will host a special Petit Planet livestream on November 1 to explain more about the game before launch. For now, the December 4 release gives cozy-game fans a new option to watch as the year comes to a close.
