Capcom has revealed Cook Man, the fourth Robot Master confirmed for Mega Man: Dual Override. The wandering chef will face off against Mega Man and Proto Man when the game launches on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in 2027.
Cook Man is described as a chef seeking recognition for his culinary skills, and he brings a “Kung Fu Cooking” fighting style to the game. In the reveal clip, he slices and dices his way through a kitchen-themed arena, fitting the series’ tradition of turning everyday professions into memorable bosses.
Cook Man joins Tank Man, Twinkle Girl, and Jet Man in the confirmed lineup. Capcom has said more Robot Master reveals are still on the way, giving fans plenty of reason to keep watching as the 2027 release approaches.
Robot Masters typically serve as the bosses at the end of each stage in a classic Mega Man game. Defeating them usually grants Mega Man a new weapon, making their designs and abilities a key part of the series’ appeal.
Some players have noticed that Cook Man appears to be inspired by CookMan.EXE from Mega Man Battle Network 2, giving the new design a nod to another branch of the franchise. Capcom has not officially confirmed the connection, but fans have welcomed the callback.
Mega Man: Dual Override is shaping up to be a major new entry for the classic series. Capcom has already announced amiibo figures releasing on the same day as the game, and recent gameplay footage has highlighted Proto Man’s return alongside fast, colorful action.
For now, Cook Man’s reveal gives fans another reason to be excited—and perhaps another reason to wonder whether Mega Man will survive long enough to escape the kitchen.
