An unannounced Marvel game known as Project Comet has appeared online again, this time through a leaked gameplay trailer. The roughly 90-second video reportedly showcases third-person combat featuring Doctor Strange, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Black Widow.
The trailer appears to have first surfaced on the Chinese video-sharing platform Bilibili before spreading across TikTok, YouTube, and other social media platforms. It was most recently shared by X user SargeOP, although neither Marvel nor the developer has officially confirmed the project. The footage begins by describing Project Comet as a “next-gen mobile ARPG.” It also introduces a story in which the Fantastic Four have disappeared after confronting Galactus. Several well-known Marvel characters and locations then appear in quick succession, presented in a colorful visual style reminiscent of Marvel Rivals.
Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Wolverine, and War Machine are among the characters shown in the trailer. The footage then shifts to third-person gameplay, where Doctor Strange, Wolverine, and Spider-Man use distinctive abilities during combat encounters. A separate title card claims that the game will support four-player co-op. The footage also includes a brief look at Black Widow and a Spider-Man battle with multiple enemies. A visible controller interface suggests that the game could use touchscreen controls similar to those found in mobile action RPGs such as Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.
The trailer ends with a glimpse of a boss encounter against Blob, the X-Men villain. Its abrupt conclusion, unfinished presentation, and placeholder-like elements suggest that the footage may come from an early stage of development rather than a final version. SargeOP also shared a screenshot of a Scopely job listing describing an unannounced AAA project based on a popular intellectual property. The listing does not name Marvel Project Comet, but it has fueled speculation that Scopely is working on the game.
This is not the first time Project Comet has appeared through leaks. Earlier reports revealed concept art and animation tests, while other leaks claimed that the game could use a gacha-based system. Under that model, players would spend in-game currency to unlock collectible heroes divided into different rarity levels.
Project Comet remains unconfirmed, and details from leaked footage could change before any official announcement. If the reports are accurate, however, the project appears to be a mobile Marvel action RPG built around recognizable heroes, cooperative play, and fast-paced battles.
